Terms of Service

1. Who we are

WorkforCrew is operated by SINAOPT Kft., Grassalkovich út 294., 1239 Budapest, Hungary, company registration number 01-09-877128, VAT number HU13862246 (“WorkforCrew”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@workforcrew.com.

These Terms govern the use of the WorkforCrew platform by candidates and employers. By creating an account you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

WorkforCrew is an online platform where candidates build a maritime profile, upload CVs and documents and complete an AI voice interview, and where employers publish vacancies and find matching candidates. WorkforCrew is not an employer, a manning agent or a party to any employment contract concluded between candidates and employers, and does not guarantee that a candidate will be hired or that a vacancy will be filled.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide true, current information.
• One person or company per account. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, provide false documents or misuse other users’ data.

4. Candidates

• Use of the platform is free of charge for candidates.
• You confirm that the documents you upload are genuine and belong to you. Document verification by WorkforCrew is a plausibility check, not an official confirmation of validity.
• You decide whether your profile is visible to employers and what they see before you accept a contact request.
• The AI interview is recorded and assessed only after you agree to it on the interview page.

5. Employers

• Vacancies must be real, lawful and non-discriminatory, and must not charge candidates any fee for being hired.
• Candidate data may be used only to recruit for the vacancy through which it was obtained. Selling, publishing or passing it to third parties, or using it for marketing, is prohibited.
• For candidate data received through the platform you act as an independent controller under the GDPR and must process it lawfully, securely and only as long as necessary.
• Contact requests are subject to fair-use limits per vacancy and per day shown in the employer cabinet.

6. Fees and payment

• Publishing a vacancy with full access to matching candidates requires a one-time activation fee per vacancy. The price and currency are shown before payment; the vacancy stays active for 30 days from activation.
• Payment is made by card through Stripe or by bank transfer. A vacancy paid by bank transfer is activated once the payment is confirmed.
• Assess Your Own Candidate is charged per invitation. Video interviews are bought by employers as packages of credits (minimum package shown before payment), valid for 12 months. One credit is used per video interview; if the candidate declines, does not answer in time or the employer cancels before the candidate answers, the credit returns to the balance. Credits are not exchangeable for money.
• All services are free for seafarers. Candidates never pay for being found, invited, interviewed or hired, including the video interview, which is always paid by the employer who orders it.
• Prices are exclusive of VAT where VAT applies; an invoice is issued for every payment.
• Because access is provided immediately on activation, the fee is not refundable, except where the platform was not available through our fault or where mandatory law provides otherwise.

7. AI features

CV reading, document reading, the interview assessment and candidate ranking are produced by AI and may contain mistakes. They are decision support only. Employers remain responsible for their own hiring decisions and should verify documents and qualifications before hiring.

8. Acceptable use

You may not upload unlawful or false content, attempt to access other accounts or data, scrape the platform, interfere with its operation or use it to send spam.

9. Intellectual property

The platform, its software and design belong to WorkforCrew. You keep the rights to the content you upload and grant us the rights needed to host and display it for the purposes of the service.

10. Liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care but “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, WorkforCrew is not liable for the conduct of users, the content of vacancies or profiles, employment outcomes, or indirect losses. Our total liability to an employer is limited to the fees paid for the affected vacancy. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is described in the Privacy Policy. Active vacancies of a deleted employer account are closed without refund.

12. Changes

We may change these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 15 days before they take effect; continuing to use the platform after that means you accept them.

13. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. Disputes will be settled by the competent courts of Budapest, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Questions and complaints: support@workforcrew.com.
